Rye Toast with Smoked Salmon
Dense rye bread topped with cream cheese, smoked salmon, cucumber, dill and a squeeze of lemon. Clean, protein-rich and deeply Scandinavian.
Ingredients
- 4 slicesgluten-free rye bread
- 200gsmoked salmon
- 100gcream cheese
- 1lemon
- 30gfresh dill
- 50gred onion
- 2 tbspcapers
- salt and pepperto taste
- 2 tbspbutter
How to make it
Toast the gluten-free rye bread slices until golden and crispy, approximately 3-4 minutes
Spread butter evenly over each warm toast slice
Layer cream cheese generously on top of each buttered toast
Arrange smoked salmon slices over the cream cheese
Thinly slice the red onion and distribute over the salmon
Sprinkle capers and fresh dill on top
Season with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Serve immediately while toast is still warm
